Preseason Outlook

Romo impressive again Thursday: Cowboys QB Tony Romo, who passed for 341 yards and three touchdowns in Week 12 against San Francisco, nearly duplicated that performance Thursday against Seattle. Romo finished 22-of-33 for 331 yards and three touchdowns with an interception. Jason Witten was a big part of the offense for the first time since breaking a rib, catching nine passes for 115 yards (both season highs) and a touchdown. Terrell Owens had five catches for 98 yards and a touchdown. He blew his chance for a second straight 100-yard game by dropping a wide-open slant in the fourth quarter. Romo started 12-of-14 for 198 yards and two touchdowns, with RB Marion Barber scoring once in between. It was the first time all season the Cowboys scored touchdowns on three straight drives. And it was the first time they'd started a game that way since Oct. 9, 1994, according to Stats Inc.

Fantasy Analysis

It appears like Romo is back with over 600 passing yards and six touchdowns in his past two games. He also likes playing on Thanksgiving. Romo is 3-0 on the holiday, with great numbers: 65-of-91 (71.4 percent) for 832 yards with 10 touchdowns and two interceptions. Next up for Romo is at Pittsburgh in Week 14, which will be a difficult challenge, but continue to start Romo as a No. 1 Fantasy option.

Week 13 Fantasy Football Matchups
Our Dave Richard examines all of the Week 13 matchups, including all three Thanksgiving Day contests, in his latest edition of his Fantasy Football Matchups.

Dallas QB Tony Romo emerged in 2007 as an elite Fantasy option. In his first full season as a starter, Romo passed for 4,211 yards on 335-of-520 passing, 36 touchdowns and 19 interceptions. Romo added 129 rush yards on 31 carries with a pair of rushing scores. In standard-scoring Fantasy leagues, Romo scored higher than everyone except Tom Brady. He has great weapons in Terrell Owens, Jason Witten and Marion Barber and should again have a superior season. Romo will likely be the third quarterback taken in all leagues behind Tom Brady and Peyton Manning, which means he will be drafted in the first two rounds. Not a bad way to go if you whiff on Brady and Manning in your league.
