Preseason Outlook

McFadden has 13 rush yards in Week 13: Raiders RB Darren McFadden carried the ball seven times for 13 yards during a Week 13 loss to the Chiefs. His longest gain went seven yards. McFadden added three catches for 50 yards, but failed to find the end zone after scoring twice Week 12 against the Broncos.

Fantasy Analysis

The rookie from Arkansas has been slow to recover from two turf toe injuries and the Raiders have been leaning a lot lately on Justin Fargas. There is no reason for them to push their future running back in a lost season, so McFadden might see limited touches down the stretch. He is at best a No. 3 Fantasy RB or 'flex' option heading into Week 14 against the Chargers. McFadden had 20 rushing yards in his first contest against San Diego this season.

Week 13 Start 'Em and Sit 'Em
He's an oldie but a goodie, Tampa Bay's Warrick Dunn. As Jamey Eisenberg writes in his holiday edition of Start 'Em and Sit 'Em, Dunn and ther Bucs should run all over the Saints.

It's been a long time since the Raiders have had a running back this talented, versatile and fast. RB Darren McFadden, from Arkansas, was the team's first-round pick and is expected to be the center of the offense as soon as this season. Gaining yardage shouldn't be a huge problem for McFadden, who was so athletic in college that he even played some quarterback. Remember this: The man coaching the Raiders, Lane Kiffin, was on the staff at USC that made Reggie Bush an impossible-to-cover rusher and receiver. He could very well do the same with McFadden, who should be viewed as a low-end No. 2 Fantasy RB to be safe, worth a third-round pick in drafts this summer.
